I bought these for the 3rd-5th grade kids in my Sunday School class. The lessons are not your typical Bible stories that are in every kid's product out there. These are more for practical application and has an accompanying Bible story and verse. For $5, you really get a lot of content. I appreciate the forward approach taken in this devotional. I think we try to shelter children from certain aspects of the Bible, but if you consider what they are getting out there in the real world, this is not a good approach. We should combat the lies of the world with real, straight forward Biblical truth. This devotional does this very well and in a manner that will keep the kids engaged in it.
I heard about this book via a facebook ad. I decided to give it a try. All I can say is WOW! From the start of the book, the author jumps right into Bible stories that depict each lesson. Most of the stories I never knew existed in the Bible. I thought I knew all the Bible stories, but this author showed me things that I have NEVER read before. It challenged me to read the Bible more so out of curiosity. Some of the topics are a bit challenging. There are a total of 18 lessons. they deal with inappropriate touches, stealing, destroying peoples property, drugs, and more. ALL while using BIBLE stories that depict these things. I plan on using this book in my Sunday school class.
